Blade care is performance care
Three habits protect the cutting head.
Battery pruners still rely on a sharp, clean blade and a correctly maintained pivot. A few minutes after use can preserve predictable operation and cleaner pruning.
Power off and remove the battery before cleaning, adjustment or blade service.

Clear plant residue
Remove sap and debris from the blade faces after the tool is powered down. Dried residue can increase drag and make the cut feel less consistent.

Inspect the edge
Check for chips, bends or visible dulling before the next session. A damaged cutting edge should be serviced or replaced rather than forced through thicker material.

Store batteries dry
Keep batteries and the tool away from wet storage conditions, heat sources and loose conductive objects. Follow the supplied battery and charger instructions during charging.
